Joe’s Priorities
Finding Common Ground
“The No. 1 issue folks mention is the need to get along. People are tired of bickering from politicians. It is time to work with folks from different backgrounds and political parties to get the job done for Wisconsin.”
Joe Sheehan, 35-year Sheboygan resident
Women’s Rights
The U.S. Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe V. Wade was wrong. It is time to ensure women have the right to safe and accessible reproductive health care.
Fund Education
Public schools are the backbone of our society. We must change Wisconsin’s school funding formula to ensure schools have the resources to educate our kids.
Expand Healthcare
Wisconsin could add 30,000 to 45,000 residents to our Medicaid program, all paid for with federal dollars. Our state legislature has blocked that coverage. We should do that immediately to protect the health of tens of thousands of Wisconsinites.
New District. New Direction. Familiar Face.
“We are in this together” sums up the political philosophy–and his view of nearly everything in life–of Joe Sheehan, a lifelong learner, educator and coach. Drawing on a 38-year career in education and community involvement, Joe believes Democrats and Republicans must work together to better the lives of all Wisconsinites.

“If you share an idea with others, it will get better. People may call me naïve and overly optimistic, but I believe there is a quiet group of both Republicans and Democrats who are willing to do that.”
Joe Sheehan, Democrat
